Featuring draped and non-draped models, the goal of this class is to forget “figure identity” and simply view the figure as an interplay of positive/negative shapes, thinking in terms of big shapes, little shapes, which eliminates all those fears of foreshortening, anatomy etc. with the emphasis on seeing and not formula. Using value as a tool of visual emphasis to create the illusion of 3-D. We are interpreters of our world and not merely copying what is viewed, but viewing the drawing as a celebration of life and just great fun!
